Before the visit, tip out any containers holding water, and tell us about ponds with fish or frogs, so the crew can work around them. Keep pets and children off treated plants until they are dry, which usually takes an hour or two on a warm day. A yard treatment reduces the number of mosquitoes resting in the garden, but new ones can fly in from nearby, so removing standing water matters as much as the treatment.
